Madeira means WOOD!

Many people don't realise that Madeira means wood! Wood, the material that is taken from trees.

When the discoverers found the island, there were trees all the way to the coast and they were surprised at how many trees there were here. They realized that a lot of wood was going to be cut down from there to start the settlement. And that's the reason for the name Madeira, which literally means pure wood.

Our project (WOOD) began with this creative motto. We assumed that we wanted to tell this story in our shop.

This story is our story. A story  about the "BLUE", the blue that surrounds Madeira Island, the blue of our sky and our sea. The blue that gives framing to all our nature.

We're natives from Madeira Island and it's Madeira that inspires us to create.

We want to make a difference through the way we create. We strive to have a varied and inclusive creative language to everyone feels welcome and represented. 

Our production approach is environmentally friendly and based on sustainability.

We like to play with design and we want to tell a story with each creation to bring smiles, laughter, surprise and meaning to all those who visit us.
